Judith Rainhorn is a historian, professor at the Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne and senior visiting researcher at the Maison française dOxford. Her main research interests are in the history of health, the environment and the workplace in modern societies. Regarding materials, she is mostly interested in lead and its compounds. She has published in 2019 Blanc de plomb. Histoire d’un poison légal (Paris, Presses de Sciences Po), which was awarded 3 academic prizes and is under translation in English. Judith has also recently published on the making of ignorance about environmental lead poisoning after Notre-Dame fire in Paris (2019) in the Revue d’Anthropologie des connaissances, 2021/4 (online).
